Cauliflower Corn-Egg Salad is one more winter special recipe for my Salad Lover

In Bangladesh, winter is the month of food celebration as the taste of the fruits and vegetables is absolutely amazing in winter, especially the seasonal fruits and veggies.

My today’s specialty is Salad. Well, you must be wondering Salad? is in winter! Yes. Of course, why not Salad?  This Salad will give you the satisfaction of fullness but you will feel light after enjoying it. It’s not cold or chill as it is ultimately winter salad.

It is a complete meal. So, you can enjoy this recipe in your lunch or dinner as your meal. It has everything in it protein, carbohydrates, and minerals. It is super delicious, tasty, and mouthwatering. And of course, it is healthy and refreshing too.

So, let’s check what we need to prepare this salad.

List of Ingredients:

  • Boil Corn – one cup
  • Boil Potato – one cup diced
  • Boil Egg (hard) – one cup chopped
  • Boil Black Chickpea – ½ cup
  • Cucumber – ½ cup
  • Green apple – ½ cup
  • Tomato – ½ cup
  • Carrot – ½ cup
  • Green chili – 1 or 2 finely chopped
  • Onion – chopped
  • Fresh Coriander leaves – ½ cup
  • Lemon juice – ½ cup
  • Chat masala powder – 2/3 tsp
  • Mastered oil – 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

 Method of Preparing:

Friends, as I have mentioned I love seasonal fruits and veggies. Therefore, I am using fresh corn which I have boiled it with a pinch of turmeric and salt. As well as chickpeas, potatoes, eggs, and cauliflower, all these are boiled and brought back to normal temperature.

 

While getting all the ingredients ready it will come down to normal temperature. You don’t need beforehand preparation to prepare the salad. Isn’t it great! Chickpea you can use a pressure cooker to boil. It will definitely be going to save you time. I always do.

 

 

Tips:

While boiling Chickpea you can add a pinch of baking soda it will boil evenly and make it soft if you forget to give it a soak before boiling or less time soaking.

Step 1:

Boil Chickpea (with turmeric and salt), Cauliflower and eggs (with salt), and potato.

Now that our all ingredients are ready let us go to the next phase:

Chopped:  Onion, potato, tomato, carrots, green chili and coriander leaves.

Diced:  Boil Potatoes, Eggs, Apple, tomatoes.

                                              

 

Step 2:

Step two is a really fun time. It’s like you have your tools ready and you are just about to create magic. Do you know something your magic stick is your fork and spoon and your two beautiful hands that will be doing the wonders….

So, what are you waiting for? Let’s just do it. Take a bowl. Well, my dear a big mixing bowl is what you need. First, add all the Boiled ingredients except eggs. Next, all row ingredients like apple, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, tomato, carrots, green chili, and coriander leaves. And Give it a good mix.

Step 3:

Now add lemon juice, chat masala, and salt. Add Mastered oil – 2 tsp. It’s winter season so, I am using master oil in place of olive oil. If anyone doesn’t like the strong smell of mastered oil you always can use olive oil. Mastered oil helps and gives comfort to your throat and chest during the winter season.

Finally, you are ready to present and expose the magic to your loved ones. It’s time to serve. I would recommend one colour serving dish either white or black. As it would definitely enhance the overall presentation of this eye-catching delicious Salad recipe. As this salad has lots of veggies, and fruits of different colors yellow, red, green, and white it will flourish in your one-color serving dish.

This salad is full of fiber and nutrients. It will kill your hunger and will keep your stomach light. You will feel light and energetic for rest of day.  Do not forget to be grateful enough to the creator for these nature’s bounties.
