In every house from children to older people – everyone mostly not just likes but loves to eat Chicken. This is the reason why whenever we go to super shop for our groceries, we check and make sure we have chicken in our fridge.

Tips to follow:

Most regularly when I get chicken, I separate some breast pieces for later use in different types of recipes.

Some I just marinate with garlic ginger paste and keep in the fridge with which we can make different dishes.  In this  Chicken Dopeaja, I have used One piece of Marinated Chicken.

So, let’s check quickly what we need to cook this easy delicious chicken recipe.

Ingredients :

  1. Chicken – 100 gm
  2. Tomato – 2/3 pc
  3. Green Chilly – 3/4
  4. Ginger & garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  5. Green Tomatoes – 1/2 pc
  6. Cooking Oil – 2 tbsp
  7. Turmeric  1/2 tsp & red chilly powder – 1 tsp
  8. Cumin & coriander powder – 1 tsp
  9. Cinnamon Stick -1 small
  10. Black Paper & Clove – 3/4 enough
  11. Sour yogurt – 1/2 cup
  12. Salt to taste.
  13. Coriander leaves – 1 handful (1/2 cup)

Method of Cooking :

Step 1:

Take a Chicken breast and liver (Optional) for this recipe.  I have used marinated chicken and sliced the chicken into small pieces.  You can use normal no need for marinated ones. Slice the Onion, Tomato, and green chili.

And finely chop the coriander leaves too for later use.  As this is a very quick dish. If you have fresh coriander leaves alright of course if you like the flavour, as it will enhance the flavour of your curry. But some people may don’t like the strong smell of it. But I just love it.

Step 2:

As all of our ingredients are ready let’s do the magic. I mean it’s time for actual cooking as you must be hungry by now.  So, no more chit – chat take a non-stick pan and put it on a fire medium.

First, add some cooking oil. I have used mastered oil today.  As of now here is the winter season. It is good for our body. Added Onion, and two chopped green chili slices and stirred it. Next, I added dry spices bay leaf, clove, cardamom, and 3-4 black paper. In every Bangladeshi /Indian/Pakistani kitchen these spices are always available. We Asians love spices. It goes very well with our cuisine.

2nd added ginger – garlic paste, cumin, coriander powder, and a little salt to it. After a minute I added tomatoes. And mixed everything. Time to add half cup water too, to cook the Mashala. Put Lid to it and cook it on medium to low flame till it starts to show leaves oil. Time to add curd to it. Mix it with gravy.

Finally, time to add chicken pieces. It will not take more than 4/5 min. Closed the lid. Cook it in low flame.  Check the salt in the gravy.

It’s time for you to make our plating. If you want to enjoy it with rice,  plate the rice.  Slice some lemon. Or you can enjoy with Luchi / Chapati/ Paratha/ Naan lots of options. Whatever you have available. It’s going to taste just assume.

I’m getting a nice aroma of chicken curry. That means it is ready. Open the lid. Doesn’t it look fabulous? Its shiny, slick buttery radish yellow shine is eye-catching. Time to sprinkle some chopped coriander on it give it mix and cover it. keep it 1 min in low flame to shimmer. And let us do the platting & presentation.

I have enjoyed it with steamed rice. Took one cup of rice. Served Chicken Dopeaja on top. Added a piece of fresh lemon & one fresh green chilly.

Now no more talking just enjoy the taste of magic that we have just done within 10 min.

Stay blessed and happy. Food is a blessing. Let us give thanks to Almighty for showering all the goodness to ourselves 24/7.
